For my degree, I have to learn a lot of vocabulary; however, there was no online platform that I found that fitted my style of learning. Furthermore, the best platforms have moved away from free services and locked their best features behind paywalls and the free features contain ads that make the sites run slowly and overall ruin the User Experience. This is where Memlet was born; I created my own learning platform that handled all of my vocabulary needs and I have used it throughout my entire university course.
Analytics
There is a statistics page where you can view statistics for specific wordlists, folders or all of your progress altogether. Here you can analyse which words specifically you are doing well, and which you are struggling with.
Creating Wordlists
It has a simple UI for creating & editing wordlists which is easy to use and is specifically designed to make the creation process as quick as possible through key mapping and hotkeys. There is also the feature to copy / paste sets from Quizlet or other vocab lists, and you can define the structure of the pasted data so that the app can convert it into a wordlist.
Learning Games
We offer 4 different learning games which allow the user to find their preferred method of studying, whether it is simple flashcards or our advanced predictive studying that prioritises those words which they have struggled with most in the past.
User Interactions
There is a fully functional explore page which allows you to sort, view, like and copy other people's public wordlists & folders and then study them from your own dashboard. You can also customise your own profile and make your own wordlists public to share with other users.
